Now the final day we will visit the Valley of kings. Here we will experience the feature of Government. The valley of kings is a massive burial site with over 60 tombs. Only Phararos and some important nobel men were buried here. After around 1500 BCE not all Pharos started making pyramids for them selves to they were buried here. All 60 tombs are different sizes ranging from massive to big to small to tiny.Pharos were top of the governemt. He was followed by people such a Priests, Government officials, novels and scribes. The Pharo made most decisions although sometimes he required help from the other government officials.
After lunch we will visit Mosque of Ibn Tulun, here we will lean about religion. Ancient Egyptians were extremely religious, they had over 2000 Gods and Godesses. Ancient Egyptians were polytheism, this means that they had more than one God. Usually the Pharao was called a link between their world and the heavens, some believed to be a God himself. Ancient Egyptians worshiped gods in temples called Mosque, this the Mosque of Ibn Tulun is the oldest Mosque in the Egypt and one of the oldest in the world. In these temples Egyptians worshiped many Gods and Godesses, here are some of the main Gods:
Amun - Creator God
Hathor - Love, dancing and music
ra - sun God
Horus - God of the sky
Isis - Protective Goddess
Ma'at - Goddess of moral and physical law
Osiris - Osiris is the god of the dead and resurrection
Anubis - God of death
Nut - sky Godess
Sobek - Sobek is the God of the Nile
Geb - God of the earth
Ihy - Ihy is the God of music
Ptah - God of creation
Thoth - Thoth is the God of knowledge and of the moon
In the temple we will see images of all of these Gods, and images of how they worshiped. Then we will travel back to the hotel and our 3 day tour will be over.
